Here are some routes for a family outing
10.KLADNICA – SELIMITSA HUT
There is also an asphalt road next to the hut, which leads to the village itself. Following is the red marking which after the hut leads to Black Peak. After the first big left turn, the trail continues to the right along the river, and almost on the road after it is the Kladnica Monastery of St. Nicholas with a church from 1841. The monastery was once part of the great Sofia Holy Mountain and it is a good idea to stop by to visit it. Selimitsa hut is 1750 m from the center of the village, but even 2 km. to do them, if you go to the monastery again is a short and pleasant walk. From the hut, there are also some not bad routes – to Black Peak, to Ostritsa and Rudnichar huts, from which you can reach the Golden Bridges, to Vladaya or Chuipetlovo villages. As there is a short route from the village to the hut, we recommend that you continue to the Rudnichar hut or along the Ring path to Vladaya.
9. GOLDEN BRIDGES – MOMINA SKALA HUT
One of the most popular routes for the whole family. Maybe because it connects the two most famous and popular meadows for games and rests all over Vitosha. The alley runs parallel to the paved road in the same direction, which is not a bad alternative, especially since the alley is in a rather poor condition. The distance to the meadow in front of the restaurant and the café to the Momina Skala hut is about 2 km.
8. KNYAZHEVO – BELYATA VODA – DENDRARIUM
The alley connecting the Knyazhevo district with the Golden Bridges is the most popular route among Sofia tourists. Although steep in places, it is easy to reach the White Water faucets after 2.5 km. White or Trouble Water (in Bulgarian one letter difference, both used for the place), the water is nice and cold. From here to the Dendrariun area are about 2 km, and you can enjoy the magnificent view of Sofia and Lyulin Mountain, as well as the beautiful forest among which runs the alley. In the Dendrarium itself, there are many benches and places for recreation, small ponds with water vegetation and ducks, and information boards provide useful information for the inquisitive little members of the family.
Even more in the area are the Bear Museum and the Rope Garden, both interesting and challenging for small and large, but also not working regularly.
7. ZLATNITE MOSTOVE – FONFON – VLADAYA BLACK PEAK
The trail starts from the stone river next to the one for Kumata hut. And if the path for the Kumata hut is steep and challenging, this one for Pancho Tomov hut (in the place of the burned Fonfon hut) is easy, pleasant and anyone to ask – the most beautiful in the whole Vitosha. There are many holiday homes and chalets in the area, and if you are looking for outdoor games and kites, this is in the area of Vladaya Black Peak.
6. RING ALLEY ABOVE JELEZNITCA AND AREA OF SELSKA RIVER
Whether you will just exit above the village of Zheleznitsa or make the transition from the village of Bistritsa is worth it. The detour from Bistritsa is without slope and through a pleasant forest, and even river gullies pass through the viaducts of the Rila Water Pipeline, but it is over 8 km. The area above the village in the beautiful valley of Selska river is enriched with tables, benches and gazebos.
