We have three perfect seasons to make hikes on Vitosha. So why not use winter for something different. Walking again, but with snowshoes. And the Plateau and the Black Peak provide the perfect opportunity. The trail to Cherni Vrah is surrounded by protected areas such as the Peat and Bistrisko branishte. And so it must be followed. But winter, snow covers tufts and peat and gives us unsuspecting routes. What I usually choose is from the parking lot of Aleko to Goli Peak and then to the big bend of the Green Road, following some of the pillar markings. However, because of the snow accumulated along the periphery of the track/road, it is difficult to get out on the track, as I have convinced myself, especially if the snowmobile is not unlocked. From the turn, it continues along to the Lion Rock formation and when approaching Black Peak the right edge is kept, to avoid the so familiar in the summer ravine just before the summit. The climb takes about 2: 30-3: 00 hours
